Vacuum brazing is an advanced process that produces high-strength, leak-tight joints for demanding applications. This process enables two primary application advantages:
- The precise joining of dissimilar materials where welding is not an option - such as bonding a carbide pad to a needle drive or metal-to-ceramic assemblies
- The creation of hermetic, vacuum-tight seals for critical components that require liquid-tight performance
Medical devices from several specialties benefit from this capability including:
- Cardiac Ablation
- Electrosurgery
- MIS
- Robotics
- Cardiac Rhythm Management
Vacuum brazing supports:
- Complex Instrument Assemblies,
- Energy Devices,
- Robotics Instruments, and select
- Implantable Electronics.
